Our story began in 1981 when founder Romy Fraser opened a small apothecary shop tucked away in a quiet corner of London's Covent Garden. At a time when the beauty industry was entirely dominated by synthetic chemicals, Neal's Yard Remedies stood apart, pioneering a radical new movement rooted in certified organic health, clean beauty, and holistic wellness. Today, that single, passionate shop has blossomed into a global icon of natural skincare, with 80 locations spanning 21 countries and 5 continents.

A SPARK OF INSPIRATION
While living in London, England, our founder Lisa Shelley fell completely in love with the aromatic, botanical magic of Neal's Yard Remedies. Upon returning to Alberta, they looked at each other and realized something crucial: Canadians desperately need this level of pure, natural wellness.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a lifelong passion for environmental sustainability, Lisa made a courageous cold call to the UK headquarters. Over the last decade, she has proudly overseen our retail storefronts, our thriving wholesale distribution partnerships, and our national e-commerce platform.
OUR CALGARY BOUTIQUE
We opened our first store in Canada in 2014, introducing a whole new standard of organic self-care and holistic wellness to our community. While our digital doors reach homes coast-to-coast, Calgary proudly remains the western Canadian hub for the brand’s award-winning, cruelty-free, and ethically manufactured products.

Lisa is a true citizen of the world. An avid adventurer and travel enthusiast, she has explored over 90 countries; absorbing global perspectives on beauty, community, and international development along the way.
But no matter how far she wanders, her heart remains firmly rooted in Calgary. Lisa believes deeply that businesses have a responsibility to measure success by their positive impact on society, not just their financial profits. She actively puts this philosophy into motion through extensive community leadership.
